A note from Narelle

Once again, our swimmers dominated in their events over the weekend in the surf and pool.

Our swimmers competed in the Junior Metropolitan Championships at Homebush, Masters in the NSW Masters Long Distance Carnival at Granville and surf swimmers in the World Ocean Series at Coffs Harbour.

NSW master swimmer Jeanette Brits competed in her first 1500 and the aim was for a great time but that was an understatement .  Not only did she break the Australian 1500 record but also broke the World record by 14 seconds.  Unfortunately, she couldn’t claim the world record as it was hand held timing, but they allowed the Australian record. An amazing swim in 19.09.09 in the 60-64yrs age group.

In rough, messy big surf at Coffs Harbour our surf swimmers competed and did NS Swim School proud once again.

Pipi Te Pania won the U17 Ironwomen and Ski, second in the swim and board, 5th in the Open Iron and 6th in the Open Swim .

Congratulations to all our swimmers that competed and special mention to Reuben who competed up an age group in the U15s and came 6th in the swim, 8th in board and 10th in the Iron.

Well done to everyone and please send us your results as we love to do post about our fantastic swimmers at NS Swim School/Aquatics.
