Warringah’s success continued at the 2024 NSW State Open Water Championship on the weekend. Warringah was represented by 5 very determined and brave young swimmers, who competed in the 5km swim in extraordinary conditions with the water temp being 30.9c at the Penrith Regatta Centre.
Noah Mclaren finishing in 7th in the 15yrs boys, Tabbi Mimmo finishing in 6th in the girls 13yrs, Emily Jones finishing in 8th, smashing her previous best time by 45s, Olivia Corr finishing in 9th in the 16yrs girls and Elisha Cuthbert finishing in 3rd place in the girls 16yrs.
Amazing achievement to have 5 swimmers represent Warringah Swimming Club and having them all finish in the top 10 and Elisha coming away with the Bronze medal.
Congratulations to all swimmers who braved the heat of the day and the temp of the water to represent your club with honor and pride.
